YouTube, the free video-sharing service owned by Google, has announced new criteria for content creators to join the YouTube Partner Program and earn money from their channels.

The updated rules are designed to be more favorable and interesting for creators, as they have reduced the requirements, making it easier for newer content creators to start monetizing their content on YouTube.
The YouTube Partner Program (YPP) has revised its guidelines, enabling individuals with a minimum of 500 subscribers to apply for the monetization program.
To qualify, they must have created three or more public videos in the last 90 days that have accumulated at least 3,000 watch hours or 3 million short views.

The updated criteria currently apply to content creators in the US, UK, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea.
